ANNOUNCEMENT

Pursuant to Article 17, paragraph 1 of Ordinance No. 1 of 22 January 2015 on the acquisition of a specialty in the healthcare system, and Order No. MMK9-19 / 05.12.2025 of the Manager of Vereya Medical Center Ltd., a competition is hereby announced for a resident physician, as follows:

Under Article 11 of Ordinance No. 1 of 22 January 2015:
Resident Physician in Ophthalmology – 1 position

Required application documents:

1. Application form;

2. Curriculum Vitae in European format;

3. Copy of diploma certifying an educational and qualification degree obtained in the Republic of Bulgaria, or a document certifying the resident’s right to practice the relevant profession where the professional qualification was obtained in another country (copy of diploma for acquired educational and qualification degree and professional qualification as a physician);

4. Motivation letter;

5. Current certificate of membership of the resident in the relevant professional organization;

6. Current criminal record certificate – for candidates who are not employees of the medical institution;

7. Current medical certificate – for candidates who are not employees of the medical institution;

8. Extract from employment record book (if any) – for candidates who are not employees of the medical institution;

9. Copies of other documents proving the candidate’s professional qualifications, foreign language skills, etc., if any.

Submission of application documents

1. The documents shall be submitted to Vereya Medical Center Ltd., 4 Kenali Street, Stara Zagora, every working day from 09:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m., no later than 05.01.2026 (inclusive);

2. The documents shall be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope marked:
   “Competition for the selection of a resident physician in ophthalmology”, as well as the candidate’s full name, correspondence address, telephone number, and email address for contact;

Procedure for conducting the competition
The competition will be held on 09.01.2026 at 12:30 p.m. at VEREYA Medical Center Ltd. – Stara Zagora, 4 Kenali Street, in two stages, following verification of the submitted documents for compliance with the announced requirements.

1. Written development of three questions from a pre-assigned syllabus;

2. Interview with the candidate – to be conducted after the written papers have been assessed by the committee. Only candidates who have received a grade of no lower than Very Good 4.50 on the written examination will be admitted to the interview.
